Imports of PP raw plastic from the South Korean market have decreased sharply.

Imports of plastic raw materials from South Korea in March 2020 reached 105,000 tons with a value of US$133 million, an increase of 8.31 tons in volume but a decrease of 2.71 tons in value compared to March 2019. In the first four months of 2020, imports of plastic raw materials from this market are estimated at 400,000 tons with a value of US$540 million, an increase of 19.71 tons in volume and an increase of 0.81 tons in value compared to the same period in 2019.
Imports of PP plastic from South Korea in March 2020 reached 30.7 thousand tons with a value of US$33.9 million, a decrease of 33.71 tons in volume and 321 tons in value compared to February 2020, accounting for 31.61 tons of total imports from this market. The average import price increased by 2.61 tons, reaching US$1,106/ton.
Imports of PE plastic from South Korea in March 2020 decreased by 8.91 tons in volume and 8.51 tons in value compared to February 2020, reaching 18.7 thousand tons with a value of 18.7 million USD and accounting for 19.31 tons of total raw plastic materials imported from this market. The average import price increased by 0.41 tons, reaching 1,001 USD/ton.
Imports of PET plastic from South Korea in March 2020 decreased by 12.11 tons in volume and 17.11 tons in value compared to February 2020, reaching 10.8 thousand tons with a value of 10.1 million USD and accounting for 11.21 tons of total raw plastic materials imported from this market. The average import price reached 933 USD/ton, a decrease of 5.71 tons.
Imports of ABS plastic from South Korea in March 2020 reached 4.7 thousand tons with a value of US$7.6 million, a decrease of 4.61 tons in volume and 4.71 tons in value compared to February 2020, accounting for 4.91 tons of total raw plastic materials imported from this market. The average import price decreased by 0.11 tons, reaching US$1,605/ton.
Imports of EVA raw materials from South Korea in March 2020 reached 4.6 thousand tons with a value of US$9.3 million, an increase of 10.61 tons in volume and 13.21 tons in value compared to February 2020, accounting for 4.71 tons of total raw materials imported from this market. The average import price increased by 2.51 tons, reaching US$2,025 per ton.
